Escape from reality....
I've said it before and I'll say it again.. anime is my escape from reality. Not just a good story, not just amazing characters, but more than that. Yes it's cool, I'm into it, it's fun, it's like no other.. but I've only realized today all of those other times I've said it was like an escape from hardships, I've only realized today it really is. Not music, not a movie, not family, not close friends, not a good book, but anime.
Today there was a HUGE controversy between two friends of mine that got really bad and really dangerous. It's so hard dealing with all that and still doing school work.. so I decided to unattached myself from them for a little bit. But the thing is.. when I came home, all I wanted to do was forget about it and watch this new anime I love called Red Garden.
I just knew when I did, I'd feel a lot better and get my head back on my shoulders. I guess I can say it lets me know that there are other problems in the world or that I have other problems of my own, and I should be allowed to sit down and relax some times. I'm so glad I ever discovered it. It teaches me and informs me of things I never knew sometimes, and without it, I most likely would have taken different steps in situations. Probably wrong ones. It opens my eyes to some things, and helps me have self control and learn more about myself. I know that all sounds stupid or corny or whatever, but it's so true.Then as an upside.. blogging also helps me relieve a lot of tension. So I'll blog a bit about the anime I've mentioned. And I totally agree with it. And not only does the opening remind you of ParaKiss, but the stylish clothes and attitude on some characters really do. But then that's where the twist occurs. It's nothing about fashion. I also like the reality of the anime. Not so much the plot, since it IS psychological, but the actions of the people. Often in any other anime, the characters are either very fake or tend to over exaggerate a lot, or don't do enough of something. Also, situations are so cliche'. Like a main character in danger, and then right before tragedy, they get saved just in time? That crap doesn't happen in real life! And you don't get many animes like that. So this change is one that I'd like to follow. Even though any other time i'm not really into psychological/ horror animes, but it seems nice so far. Kind of reminds me of Blood+. But I never finished Blood+ so.... I don't know. Hopefully this doesn't happen the same way and lose interest.
