Two weeks after halloween..
So.. back before October 12, when I was suppose to be singing for the coronation, Mr. Carter said I was covered for the Senior Brunch on Nov. 9th, which was last Sunday. I have a song I made up like last year right before the summer break but didn't finish, called
"My Name Is Woman". Well, originally for the Senior Brunch I was going to sing some cool jazz song to match the theme, I had no intention of performing a self-composition.. but since I decided to go with that idea, I finished it and practiced it almost everyday before the brunch. Like three days before the Brunch, stupid, late Mr. Carter decided he really wanted music to the song, so he asked cutie teacher from one of the other schools, Mr. Sterling, to be the music.. since he plays guitar.. :)
Um, I have to say, I wasn't too pleased with him bringing that up so late, especially since I mentioned having back up music before.. but I LOVED working with Mr. Sterling.. he's so adorable to me.. and I've never had my own music played over.. especially by someone else, so that experience was definitely amazing! Like seriously.. you have no idea how cool it is to hear a song you made up, played instrumentally! And I sung with him! And omg, Mr. Sterling is like the cutest lanky white guy..LOL. I'm so gay. Me and him talked about rock because he told me he was use to playing rock, not anything jazzy.. we talked a lot.. him and another hot teacher kept telling me how awesome I was and an excellent writer.. ahh.. smiles across the room. If my friend's weren't around so much at the time, i'd definitely be flirting.. I don't care if he's a teacher.. he was young though. But chill out.. it's not like i'd ever do anything, lol..
Moving on.. sadly Mr. Sterling couldn't preform with me.. but the performance turned out to be a HIT, and omg, it's Friday and people are still praising me! lol.. Hey, I like praise, especially for something I did that I was very passionate about.. but omfg, I hate being a celebrity. People are literally requesting my song at school.. or waiting on my next single.. like i'm some hot new artist. And the bad thing is, the teacher's aren't even stopping them.. they get into it too. I guess you guys are like...... um.. how is this bad?? Idk.. I've just never been the type to feed off limelight.. especially when it's brought out of like no where.. that's why i'm not a social-holic. I don't like big groups.. mostly when people you don't know are coming up to you asking you to sing and asking stupid questions.
ANYHOW, so directly after my standing ovation, parents are swarming in asking about the song and telling me to copyright it. Also asking if I could come to their church and do something at a hotel and stuff.. and recently our class president gave me a proposition. She said since so many people liked my song and request to hear it, I should be the vocals as well as the MC for our schools 2008-2009 talent show/ fashion show. And she also gave me the idea of announcing at the end of the show, the idea of performing for open mic/ karaoke Friday's at C lunch my self-composed songs. Like.. all the ones I want since I have so many laying around :) That's so awesome! lol.. I can't wait to do that :3 Just as long as people pay attention and aren't rude ^^
