Sueing people? Sue me, lah. Piss me off. >=o
Here you have letter sent to me as a form of chain mail all across Imeem.com. Imeem is a music, video and picture network. They have groups and socializing. Kinda like myspace, but Imeem revolves around the music, videos and and kind of the pictures, while Myspace revolves around the pictures and socializing and being known all that crap. lol. Anyway, here are some things said. The replies of each person are separated by two dashes and start off bold.
-- Imeem Sucks... Got Sued and now we have lots of 30 sec previews... You might want to double check your playlist and much to your surprise will notice alot of songs been changed to 30 seconds.. What is the fun in creating playlist to share them with friends if you cant listen to the full songs... I and another friend are looking for an alternative website that offers the same as imeem had...

-- As reported by Reuters on Tuesday evening, Warner Music Group Corp. has sued Imeem for copyright infringement pertaining to the use of its music (which includes Green Day, Madonna, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers). Imeem is a social media site that allows its members to share photos, videos, and music; connect with other members who have similar preferences; and embed Imeem widgets in blogs and other social networking sites.
The suit, filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, claims that "Imeem is no innocent infringer. It invites Imeem's millions of users to flock to its website to copy, adapt, distribute and perform unlicensed sound recordings and music videos." A statement from Imeem was not yet available.
The Palo Alto, Calif.-based Imeem, which boasts 16 million users, has already seen its embeddable widgets banned from social networking site MySpace as a result of copyright holders' concerns.
-- This is complete and utter Bull Crap!!! This is the best website for getting to listen to current and popular music from all genres. You can't download any tracks so I don't know why the record industry is having a tif, fagots. If anything placing the artists music on your myspace account is free promotion for them of music you like.
Myspace is just bleeding all over the place because the quality of their music sucks, and the variety is not chosen by the users but by Tom and who ever is willing to blow him. Imeem has the users upload the music they deem is worthy of being heard, and we all agree on what we hear. if we can do anything to keep Imeem up I am open to suggestions and will support it.
Myspace and the record industry need to step their game up and stick a tampon in it!!
-- For that matter they need to sue limewire, because that gives us all access to anything, video, or pictures, or even music, but that sucks
--Thats Bull!! Like What about all that music We had to take time downloading,??

Anyway, probably won't matter to most of you, but i'm sure pissed. I just left Bolt.com like I guess five months ago because the music was taken away. They got sued also. And like someone said in one of those complaints, Imeem let's you upload your own music. as did Bolt. And you have it on your own computer probably from purchase. And if not, it doesn't matter because bolt and imeem doesn't let you download anything. The only thing you can probably do is save pictures, but not music or videos. And sites like those, hearing songs and watching videos people upload gets you maybe interested in a certain artist and you'll end up purchasing it. I know I have. Some Olivia Lufkin songs and a lot of other artists. Anna Tsuchiya, Ayumi Hamasaki, Ilaria Graziano, I got their CD's because I liked their music. I got to hear Ayumi's recent album and that led me to purchase it. So they cut most of all the songs down to a 30 second previews, thinking that people can sample that and buy an album. Pfft. Yeah right. First of all, 30 seconds ain't no time.. and within a song, you'd have to choose what 30 preview you want to hear. A song my have only one amazing part, or they might use a bad part. I know in Wo men de ai by F.I.R I only like one amazing part. I like the song, but I look forward to that one great melodic part. That's so stupid how they did that. Ugh.. pisses me off.Labels: music
